Hard at work on a Photokina subsite

We're currently hard at work preparing for the Photokina. Part of the deal we made to get free(!) booth space from the Photokina organisers was to have (near-)live, panoramic coverage of the major events and booths on the fair.

Introducing photokina.ivrpa.org

Hans has agreed to feature panoramas on panoramas.dk, but we need a place to post and host the panoramas easily. The current site could ofcourse provide that space, but adding special projects like that inside the current site would result in a lot of added 'weight'. So instead, I am now working on a subsite:
http://photokina.ivrpa.org

This site shares its user database with the main site, so you will be able to log in using your beta.ivrpa.org username/password even at this early stage, but you will not be able to post anything yet. If you are going to be attending the Photokina, and would like to participate in the live pano-blogging, then drop me a note (eg in the comments), and I'll let you in once the site is ready for Photokina panorama submissions.

Suggestions for features of this subsite are very welcome... I am planning to have anonymous comments enabled for the panoramas posted to the site. Panoramas will be sortable by date, location, photographer, equipment used, etc, and because our audience is photo-minded I'll add fields to share 'EXIF' data such as ISO/shutterspeed etc, which is typically lost for panoramas.

Looking forward to seeing it

Looking forward to seeing it build up as the show happens! Too much stuff on to make it this year...

I wish you all an inspiring,

I wish you all an inspiring, successful and happy stay in Cologne!
Can't wait to watch the photokina.ivrpa site as it grows (I still hope to make it to the fair on the last day).

Still I am missing all the selected panoramas for the print gallery (I am very proud one of mine is included and I am so curious about the others).

Have a nice journey,
chris
