Website migration progress
Submitted by Aldo Hoeben on Mon, 2009-10-26 08:53.
The IVRPA website is undergoing major maintenance work. We are updating our data structures in the process. Read the announcement for more information.
During the migration, the site is in a "read-only" state; you can not log in to the site to post content and/or make changes to your profile etc. The IVRPA mailinglist remain active. In this post, I will keep track of the progress of the actual migration.
- Mon, 9:06AM
- The IVRPA site is now in read-only mode. All users have been logged out. If you try to log back in to the site, you will be redirected to this page instead.
- Mon, 10:16AM
- A shadow site where all migration work is going on is up and running. Manual datamigration to the new database schemas has started.
- Mon, 12:02AM
- The first (simple) datatypes have been migrated.
- Mon, 16:53AM
- All data and files have been migrated from the legacy flexinode to new cck-based tables, except locations (google maps). Remaining work includes:
- Migrating location information for users and gallery items,
- Updating themes for all migrated content-types,
- Updating (remaining) custom code and custom modules,
- Testing, lots of testing, and (performance) tweaking.
Most of these remaining tasks will be executed tomorrow.
- Tue, 13:03AM
- All data (including location) has been succesfully migrated. The major remaining task is updating the theming so everything looks as good as or better than it used to look.
- Wed, 10:25AM
- Theming and updating of remaining custom code is taking longer than expected. This will continue through the day.
- Wed, 9:52PM
- You are reading this on the new, migrated site. There are quite a few rough edges, but users can log in (and post) to the site again.
