Nisus QTVR CDR: "Kyoto Gardens"

I began using Nisus Writer 6.5 perhaps with Mac OS 8. An English teacher, I am constantly writing activities, articles, and handouts, for which I rely on Nisus Writer Pro. Though a software house, Nisus also sells a CD, Kyoto Gardens. Here's the product blurb:

Kyoto Gardens: A Virtual Stroll Through Zen Landscapes utilizes Apple Computer's QuickTime VR technology to "walk through" 24 of Kyoto's most renowned gardens. A seamless panorama of wood, sand, and stone, lets you experience Japanese garden design and the world of Zen firsthand. Maps, slides, screensavers, essays, history, and aesthetics are brought together into a truly interactive cybernetic journey.

There are links to two sample panoramas, Tofukuji and Zuihoin.

The first time I came across this CD some years ago, I was impressed, but I passed on buying it, because I suspected I would never look at it, because that's what I have done with most movies I have purchased: stuck them on the shelf to collect dust. Now that I've viewed the two cylindrical samples, I'm a bit surprised at the number of fairly obvious stitching errors, although I have no idea what software was available then and thus to what extent such errors could have been corrected. Regardless, I am curious about the product itself, not least because I've thought of making something similar, a group of QTVR panoramas on a CDR. However I must improve my skills before embarking on such a task.

Has anyone else seen the Kyoto Gardens CDR? I'm curious what you think of it. I do want to thank Nisus for having made such a product, because I love both QTVR and Kyoto!
