Digital Media Bursary - Work in Progress

It's been awhile since I heard I got the Phoenix Digital Media Bursary, but finally here are some results!

I spent the whole of Wednesday in Bedford Street in Exeter, shooting panoramas from several fixed points. All the panoramas from one of these points have been stitched and then lined up with each other:

Small version (512px wide, 540Kb)
Larger version (1024px wide, 1.6Mb)

Of particular interest are the glass seats, which light up at night and change colour. There is another series of panoramas taken from the middle of the square during the day, and some longer-term sequences taken around the middle of Exeter. More to come after the PanoTools Meeting in Lucerne...

I concur!

Re: Digital Media Bursary - Work in Progress

Ian,

I saw you taking the pictures in Exeter on that Wednesday and we had a chat and you gave me your card. The finished product looks superp, particularly the evening sequence with the coloured stones illuminated.
As a keen photographer, this form of photography is new to me, although I have done a few panoramic shots and stiched them with Photoshop but nothing in this league. Also, parden my ignorance but what does IVRPA stand for?
Keep up the good work.

Regards

Robert

"what does IVRPA stand for?"
International Virtual Reality Photography Association

About as Geeky as it can get, some times when im with clients i talk about this community/website (very positively i may add), and as soon as i say the name of it "IVRPA", they ask whats that mean, and when i tell them, they kind of look at me like "your kidding right".

It used to be called IQTVRA, "International Quick Time Virtual Reality Association", before many of us started using other forms of movies such as Java, and flash so the Quick Time bit was dropped to make it more generic.
