Nikon lens on Canon body: Setting the aperture

This is a small pin you can make for adjusting the aperture when using Nikon lenses on a Canon body.
A friend of mine inspired me to make this, and I've dubbed it the "J-Pin". With the pin you can set an aperture of f/8, f/5.6 and f/2.8 (I haven't made actual measurements on the aperture values, but they are approximate).

I made it from a small piece of 2mm thick aluminium that I had, but a piece of hard plastic could also be used. I chose aluminium for durability's sake.

Note: The top of the pin has been tapered on one side
so that it will not touch or get stuck on the adapter-ring.
(see image 5)

.

You can make a groove (as seen above) on the top of the pin to make it easier to grab with your thumbnail when pulling the pin out.

Nice technique! What adapter is this?

It's branded as a Widepan adapter, but in fact they're re-branded Elefoto adapters.
The one I got has worked perfectly no problems at all.
