Making your own turntable to take upto 3 tons or a few grams

I have been asked a few times about making an Object turntable and making it at a low cost budget.

I produced my turntable with a ford rear hub and a few bits of scrap metal, which can take motorbikes, people, Ive even had a car on it. But i also use it for mobile phones, SLR cameras, food products etc.

The kids from the flat below me think its like part of a playground, and just spin each around on it all day, and see how long each of them can stay on lol.

All the object movies on my site are made using it. IM trying to build a frame at the moment which allows the camera to move over it to make multirow movies, it works but its a little bit rough yet.
