2007 Conference Panos Finished-Finally

So, I've finally processed what I thought worthy of sharing from the conference.
Here's the link:

Of special interest are the Golden Gate Bridge panos.
After discovering the ease of PTEditor, I was able to install properly placed side-nadir covers.
Thanks again to Peter Nyfeler for posting on the Wiki.

I had such a blast trying out new shooting techniques and meeting the folks from around the world.
Thanks all!

Shawn

wow, these are super of the bridge Shawn... using the fog to great advantage. I noticed that this one is not Playa del Carmen however.

Thanks Rice.
It was a blast shooting them and walking accross the bridge.
Was even fun to interrupt coffee and donuts:

I just notice the Tides label.
I was so excited to finally be sharing I forgot the last template adjustment.

Howdy Neighbor,

I see you have been really bussy.....great work, Shawn. Nice to see some memories come to life again in 360°....

The Dorm...I can't believe you shot this the day you arrived:-) After that long and hot walk up the hill! Looks very nice, though i do not have a good memory of that hard and positively non conforming mattress...my back was complaining for a long time after that.

The Patio.....love the halo around Jook's head.....the holy grail of VRtist:-) Was it done intentionally?

The Bart....what a great illustration of a long, long day. One can see every mile in it. Jan, Joost and You reflect it well....amazing that you still found the energy to do a node of that moment.

The Golden Gate....Awesome shot! Love it. Try to loose the logo and do some cloning and shift it out of center.....You won't regret it.

The Sphere object....Intriguing close up. Curiosity with all standing by......even Scott. Nice.

Well done.

Cheers, Milko

Re: 2007 Conference Panos Finished-Finally

Thanks Milko!
Yes, very busy.
I have several things on deck and been posting as I can to my gallery.

The holy grail look -or hand of god- was due to a poorly shot mutli-exposed pano. Much movement from exposure to exposure.
I burned you guys in for read-ability, so yes, intentionally.

About the bridge shots, I'd never done over-the-rail stuff but was inspired by Willy's enthusiasm for "just shooting it".
Next time, I'll move over and try a couple of filler shots to get some Nadir info.
I tried doing as you suggested with the clone tool but my parallax mistakes were too much I'm afraid.

The sphere object is actually a cross-cut of the main cable suspending the bridge. I was just going crazy as I put that walk-around pole set-up together some time ago but never had time to use it. Scratch that, I did get to use it a couple of weeks earlier:

I've aquired an unbroken mini-tripod and have a bunch of stuff to assemble that hopefully will be straighter.

Thanks for the support.

Cheers!
