Vienna 2017: IVRPA Street View Challenge

The International Virtual Reality Photography Association Conference

The IVRPA Vienna Street View Challenge is a friendly competition between IVRPA members attending the annual conference.

Members of IVRPA are invited to scout Vienna to find the most scenic sites of this amazing city, select the best time of the day to create stunning panoramas. Panoramas are then submitted before the deadline. An independent panel of judges will define the winners. Read The Instructions for all details.


The IVRPA Vienna Street View Panorama Challenge (Competition) is open to all members of IVRPA who attend Vienna 2017 (Participants).

This friendly competition showcases the Vienna 2017 conference and city to the world and spotlights the creativity of IVRPA members.

Dates of Competition

May 30, 2017 0:00 to June 5, 2017 23:59 EST


Nature, Old-Vienna, Danube River, and Inside Historical Sites.


Participants can submit up to three (3) 360 VR panoramas (Entries) in each category. All Entries must be 100% produced by the participant, from capture to submission, according to the Dates of Competition.
Entries must be an equirectangular image (Ratio 2:1) 10000 x 5000 px JPEG files under 30 megabytes.

How do we submit a panorama?

Three (3) prizes for each category (Bronze, Silver, and Gold), and One (1) Grand Prize (2500€).

Prizes are quoted in Euro (€). Prizes will be listed on website prior to the Competition. There are no alternatives available for prize winners. Prize recipients are responsible for any import taxes or levies payable on receipt of prizes in your own country.

An independent panel of five (5) judges will define the winners. Judges will be announced prior to the Competition. No names will be shown or transmitted during judging. Judges will select the winning Entries after the Competition. Results will be announced at the 2017 Vienna Conference and will be posted on the Website.
