Do you use the tracker?

I am wondering how you, the participants of this forum, are keeping up to date with posts to the forum.
Are you using the 'recent posts' page from the menu? http://ivrpa.org/tracker
Did you even know it exists?

I am using Google Reader to follow new topics on this forum.
I have noticed the tracker page before but it's much more convenient for me to use a feed reader.
Unfortunately, I didn't find the rss feed for this page, it would be very useful if one was available though.
Can you point me to an RSS feed on the website that provides the same kind of information as this page does?

I used to read this feed: http://ivrpa.org/tracker/*/feed
But suddenly this one stopped working on March 29 (or at least the last news I have where from that day).
Aldo, can you see what caused this important feed to stop working on March 29?

I usually just check the right sidebar, rarely the tracker.

Submitted by Aldo Hoeben on Sun, 2009-05-03 16:04.The reason the tracker is the most powerful way to see what's new is that (1) it shows more than just forum posts (think of blog posts, gallery items, etc), and (2) that it knows what posts you have access to.
The RSS feeds don't know who you are when you access them, so they can not list posts from the members-only forum etc.
Around the end of March, a component of the site that added some very useful functionality to the rss feeds started misbehaving so I had to disable it. (I posted about this to the webteam forum, but only members of the webteam have access to that, and unfortunately it does not show up in RSS feeds for the abovementioned reason).
We're preparing a move to another host (first) and to a newer version of Drupal (later), and hopefully the site can then start to generate more 'interesting' RSS feeds again.
For now, the tracker is 'best' even though I realise that is not an ideal situation; you have to visit the page while logged in to get the most out of it.

Please check out the tracker page, and you will see that each sub page has its own feed.
It is also possible to use authentication with the feeds, if your feedreader supports authenticated feeds. Normal (non-authenticated) feeds can be access by everybody, so they can not contain any non-public posts (eg the members-only forum). Use the following syntax to get an authenticated version of the feed in your feedreader:
http://ivrpa.org/[feed path]?authenticate
By adding the ?authtenticate bit, basic http-based authentication is enforced. Your feedreader should ask you about the user/pass.
