Flash and Quicktime 360 tours on Apple iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch
Hi everyone !
I understand that the new Apple iPad (and iPhone / iPod Touch) do not support 360 Flash based virtual tours. This is a real problem for 360 providers like us.
Does anyone know if the new iPad (or iPhone / iPod Touch) support Apple Quicktime virtual tours ? I don't own any of these items so can't experiment myself.
From what I understand, the only software that does currently support 360 virtual tours on Apple's iPhone is PangeaVR for iPhone (and they do have plans for iPad support too). However, this seems to require some scripting knowledge and isn't ideal for photographers like myself.
What about our existing Flash 9/10 based tours ?
Any info and answers would be a great help to our community as this could be a real headache when the iPad really catches on - which is almost certainly will.

here some test links ( open it from your browser on the iPhone !! )

The 360 cities links are fab ... Do they have any additional scripting / plug ins with Safari ?
Without wishing to sound naive (I'm a photographer not a web guru) ...
Does this mean that Safari on the iPad / iPhone etc will automatically load a spherical / equirectangular panorama in the browser without any special software or plug ins ? Or is there a special script used by 360 Cities to display these panos on iPhone / iPad etc ? If so, where do we get it ?!
I don't have an iPhone (or iPad) yet so can't test it myself.

Submitted by klausesser on Tue, 2010-06-01 01:26.KRPano just recently released tools to bring interactive panos to the iPhone/Pod/Pad WITHOUT having an app to install.
Actually it plays single interactive panoramas, no tours - but they´re working on it.
Here you can see an example for iPhone/Pod: http://www.360impressions.de/mobile.html
