I would like to charge a monthly fee for use of the virtual tour
But I would like to hear suggestions:
One time fee?
A year fee?
Small monthly fee?

The retail price for a resort tour like this one we did for Wyndham's Bonnet Creek resort is $9,800. Resorts using 36 - 40 panos, 120 or slide shows will generate $9,000 to $12,000 each if we send out a VPiX certified photographer and the hotel / resort wants images sent to VFM Leonardo (hotel merchandising to TripAdvisor, Expedia, Priceline, Hotwired, etc.). So shooting the tour is one thing. Getting the entire account and managing it for them including being a feeder to VFM Leonardo for world wide syndication, distribution is another (higher paying service) that we offer.
Here's the tour we did for Orlando's Wyndham Resort near Disney World.

The tour required several days on site. Shots were bracketed. We used a D3 and a D90 (two photographers) and a Sigma f/3.5 and the Nodal Ninja R-10 rotator.
Then we stitched them in PT Gui, tone mapped them in Photomatix. Then we built the tours in our own software which is VPiX. It is a online SaaS (Software as a Service) set of cloud servers which generates the tour links, allows you to create hot spots, add custom floor plans, info boxes, etc. We tried TourWeaver and that took us days to do. What we did on VPiX took us only a few hours to do.
You can try VPiX free at our site for two weeks. IVRPA members will get 25% off if you call us and place an order.

Anyone that's ever done belly to belly sales in their community would agree. A much more realistic approach would be for you to charge about $100 per Pano and toss in some still images here and there. If you want to actually get in business and stay in business you need to get sales therefore your pricing should be in line with what the market will bear.
Ask around and feel free to stop on by http://www.RealTourVision.com or our blog http://www.VirtualTourProvider.com
There you can connect with thousands of providers around the World and see what others are doing that works. See you out there!

Then as the quantity goes up we can then charge a flat fee as we can move to an hourly rate that is more competitive for our virtual tours clients.I hope this helps, Regards the team at www.summit7.co.uk
