firefox 3

Is anyone having problems with the side bar menu of this site when using firefox 3 at full screen, or is it my settings somewhere? At full screen the menu appears in the middle of the page obscuring anything underneath.

Thanks

Submitted by Aldo Hoeben on Wed, 2008-09-03 21:00.It's not happening for me on Firefox 3 on windows. What screen resolution are you using?
Re: firefox 3
Submitted by Paul Wigginton on Wed, 2008-09-03 21:04.I'm on a mac powerbook G4 screen 1280x854.
Worked fine in Firefox 2.
As usual I update something and something else stops working properly!
Will get to the bottom of it somehow.......

By 'fullscreen', do you mean pressing F11 ('kiosk fullscreen'), or just maximising the window? Does it start happening at a certain resolution, or is it happening at basically any resolution?
Re: firefox 3
Submitted by Paul Wigginton on Wed, 2008-09-03 22:10.At all resolutions. When the page is stretched to beyond approx 2/3rds screen width side navigation menu goes central.

It happens on all resolutions and is when the width of the window is dragged to approximately 2/3rds screen width (or further).

Submitted by Thomas Rauscher on Wed, 2008-09-03 21:10.Same thing happens here. The navigation bar is in the middle of the screen. Mac OS X 10.5 + Firefox 3.0.1, Mac Book Pro, screen size 1440 x 900.
Re: firefox 3
Submitted by Aldo Hoeben on Thu, 2008-09-04 10:02.I can confirm this is happening on Firefox 3 on OSX, but not on Firefox 3 on Windows.
FF3/OSX seems to want to render my left column 383 pixel to the right of all other browsers. Very odd. Looking into a solution.
Re: firefox 3
Submitted by Aldo Hoeben on Thu, 2008-09-04 10:23.I think I have fixed the issue, at least on the main site. Can y'all confirm this, after clearing your cache? If it fixes the issue here, I will propagate the fix to the other IVRPA sites.
The left column was getting bumped by the site menu bar (post on this site... etc). Fixed it by specifying a height for the individual menubar divs. Still odd that it only happened on OSX, not Windows. I thought they ran off the same codebase?
