My winner is PanoramaStudio. I bought the registration yesterday. I use the HTML5 output. It also allows virtual tours which I will try as soon as time allows. User support was great in answering my questions.
I evaluated a bunch of programs. I only evaluated freeware and commercial progs that have trial versions (the output is watermarked).
I am a poor photographer (no “eye”) but I am having great fun with this. GIGO
One helpful hint: All of the progs sometimes do questionable stitching. If there is a problem with for a given sequence of shots, I often find that the free Microsoft ICE stitcher succeeds.
I then use the ICE output in PanoramaStudio.
