maybe i can explain certain things to this issue.
what we bought is a modular system by black magic. it is a HD Broadcast switcher as well as Streaming device and 3 recorder decks based on SD cards.
the equipemt was not much more expensive as to rent one minus the operator you needed to hire too. it was a long discussion if we should do it. alon with such purchase is a lot of cables and adapters converters since broadcast is not so easy. Sync audio, sync frames and so on….
the system works on any part of the world regadless of voltage like proofen in japan and europe..
the down part on PRO gear is the data rates,it creates quite some ammount, also hour confernces are 4 days x 2 Cameras + Screencapture= 3 source streams + a program output.
in order to use such a system you need to know what you do, …
leasing or BUYing
as far as i know from my proffessional expireence leasing is not any cheaper than buying stuff, it is even more expensive due the interest rate you need to pay to the leasing provider, it has some income or tax advantages but i doubt the IVRPA can profit from that.
it is interesting you mention it, doing the conf videos takes
4-5 days of preperations due customs and shipping
1 day setup
4 days recording and broadcasting
1 day dismantling
2-3 weeks editing
3-5 days upload to youtube each video has approx. 5GB
= approx 35 days of work
who is doing that for free?
for belfast we would need volunteers taking responibiltiy in sharing this workload…
this means early arrival + late leave, no sozializing and short on breaks…
i have no idea why you write thoose points and create a diccusion on things we have though of allready way before, certain options are not possible and not feasable.
alos if nobody contributes, the people who do the work should decide what and how they do it.

as I stated above Yes, interesting you ask, you attended Vienna 2017 and as far as I can tell there was nothing wrong with it.
concerning reports, as times in the IVRPA have changed and this no longer a single wolf organization, the responsibility are shared among the BOD.
the 2017 Tax report is online on the IVRPA site, created boristax,NY and Denis and some help of me. have look!
But, I’m not so happy with several strange postings, about our efforts to bring the IVRPA forward by yourself. You seem not to be happy with our work, only telling everybody how you made it better in the past. as well as creating some external groups, this is not even a bit constructive and I have no idea why your attempt to create disunion makes any sense.
The Board is a democratic institution, every member contributes to the activities and carries the decisions made in that process, this is can be sometimes time-consuming and tiring.
