Balloon on Fire

Balloon on Fire

If you look closely you can see a camera on a tripod behind the fire.. This is Mr. Jan van der Woning taking pictures from the opposite point of view. I had frozen hands at this time. Before the pilot turned on the heating he blew cold air into the balloon. 10th Oktober 2009, 6.30AM, 0°C.

Ooh, how awesome is that? Great patterns in the back.

Re: Balloon on Fire

To be honest, this is the first reasonable image I see from this event.
Congratulations.

Re: Balloon on Fire

Thank you very much! .. I've seen some more reasonable pictures though :-)
Why does my pano have those white seams on the edges of the cubefaces, have I done something wrong? Compression? Sharpening?

Re: Balloon on Fire

It's a bug in CuTy, which is more apparent in this one than in other VRs because your initial view is quite wide. I'll try to nail down the (ever-present, ever-so-annoying) seam-drawing-glitch.

PS: cross-post to conference09.ivrpa.org for bonus points?

Re: Balloon on Fire

Working on fixing the bug... I have uploaded an updated version of CuTy that displays your panorama better.

Re: Balloon on Fire

..perfect on my screen, thank you, Aldo!

Re: Balloon on Fire

Great work with CuTy Aldo, the seams are gone from my screen too.
