The Village of Piódão is one of the most beautiful in Portugal and is classified as an Historical Village of Portugal.
Located in the center of the country in the slopes of the Açor Mountain, it is one of the tourist attractions in this area, with a good offer of accomodation, restaurants and traditional products gift shops.
Typical houses are made of Schist and Slate and are very well maintained since centuries ago. The villagers enjoy a rural communitarian life style that lasted for many centuries and is possible to appreciate even today.
