English Lake District, Castle Crag

This is the summit of Castle Crag which is just a baby mountain in the Lakes. It was incredible, a January winter day, proabably about minus 5 degrees celcius at ground level, if you look closely, you can see ground frost in the bottom of the valley. But the higher we got when climbing, the warmer it got. By the time we got to the top we were stripped down to tee shirts. And it was the warm weather, not the fact we were hot, just a weird warm wind.
This is part of a set i took, the rest can be seen at

Please let me know what you think.

Just a bit higher?
Submitted by Aldo Hoeben on Sun, 2006-08-06 17:16.If only the image were just a little higher, it would make a great header panorama...
Im sure it will be big enough
