The Golden Horn is a historic inlet of the Bosphorus dividing the city of Istanbul and forming the natural harbor that has sheltered Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and other ships for thousands of years. It is a scimitar-shaped estuary that joins the Bosphorus just at the point where that strait enters the Sea of Marmara, thus forming a peninsula the tip of which is "Old Istanbul" (ancient Byzantion and Constantinople). Its Greek and English names mean the same, but the significance of the designation "golden" is obscure, while its Turkish name Haliç simply means "estuary".

This picture was taken in December 2011 at the Wat Doi Suthep. The Wat ( temple ) is situated on a hill near the city of Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand. After receiving permission we arranged the camera inside the blessing ceremony at the end of the day. Thankfully we made a 'real picture' - same as we made already another shot in 2007.

Uxmal es una antigua ciudad maya del periodo clásico. En la actualidad es uno de los más importantes yacimientos arqueológicos de la cultura maya, junto con los de Chichén Itzá y Tikal. Se ubica en la llamada zona Puuc y es la ciudad más representativa de este estilo arquitectónico.

Se localiza a 62 km al sur de Mérida, capital del estado de Yucatán en México. Sus edificaciones destacan por su tamaño y decoración. Entre ellas, así como entre otras ciudades de la zona, hay construidas unas calzadas llamadas sacbés.

El sitio posee aproximadamente 70 km² y más de 6.000 estructuras, y llegó a ser la capital de un estado regional de aproximadamente 13.000 km².
