Introduction of Entaniya Fisheye and Proposal for Virtual Reality Use Cases

Are you choosing a camera with 360-degree only based on the resolution? The idea that something is high quality because it 8K or 6K is not right. If you use Entaniya Fisheye HAL lens series, you can shoot high-quality footage of celestial sphere and create 360-degree footage.

The majority of 360-degree cameras have a narrow and small image sensor at a dynamic range. Shooting 8K・6K footage with small image sensor does not actually result in high-quality footage comparable to the quality of the movies and commercials without perfectly controlled and ideal environment of lightning. Realizing this ideal shooting in 360-degree is difficult due to reflecting lightning.

Conventional 360-degree cameras have been insufficient for shooting and color grading. There are many users dealing with various problems in editing as well. Some examples of the problems are the brightness conditions and the high contrast of deep shadow scenery, shooting in bad conditions such as in the morning, in the evening, indoors or in a cloudy weather, a problem of correcting shadow magenta, a production of memory color… All of these are big problems. However, this does not mean you should give up and decide that you can’t handle a 360-degree camera.

Entaniya Fisheye HAL series lenses can have C-mount, E-mount, EF-mount or MFT (Micro Four Thirds System) Mount installed. By installing a Micro Four Thirds System, APS-C or full-size sensor it is possible to make it a multi-purpose camera that can even record RAW and Log.
