why not EF 14mm f/2.8L USM whit 5D
I am a neophyte have a 5d with 24-105,and head manfrotto 303SPH i would want to acquire a objective more adapted to the panoramic resumptions, which suggestion? I am estimating: EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye and EF 14mm f/2.8L USM in the appraisal I would not want to hold account of the greater cost why in photography the optical are the only thing that does not become never old
sorry for my english and tanks

I agree with Mickael, that for shooting panoramas the 15mm will do you better in the long run than the 14mm. That said, if you think you're going to use the wide angle for 'regular' stills, maybe consider the 14mm.
I use the 15mm and the 5D regularly for spherical panoramas, and use the 24-70mm as well -- and have been extremely happy with its sharpness. I've also used the 24mm and 45mm tilt-shift lenses, and they are fabulous.
Recently I had a chance to use the Nikon 10.5mm with an adapter, but found it soft; of course, I found the 10.5mm a little soft on my Fuji S2 too. :) Still, a cool lens, and I may be being picky.

Re: why not EF 14mm f/2.8L USM whit 5D
Patrick,
It sounds like you may have had a bad Nikon to EOS adapter, even a .25mm or less error in thickness will shift the focus of a Nikon lens on a Canon mount. The Nikon 10.5 is a great, sharp lens, not soft at all, but when used on a Canon may require a offset from infinity to get the full quality. If you still have it, try a few tests, if it's still soft, return the adapter. (Sorry can't remember if it would be too thin or thick)
And Mickael, given your negative comments on Canon wide lenses' why in the world did you switch?
Regards,
Robert
Re: why not EF 14mm f/2.8L USM whit 5D
yes adapter thickness is crucial with the 10.5, my first one was just 0.12mm too thin and it made the combo almost unusable, finally found one recently that puts infinity where it should be.
The reason I switched to Canon ?
Well fullframe just feels better, noise handling at high iso (compared to the d2x) just doesn't compare, the possibility to mont a 10.5 for 4 shot action panos (6+2 in a crowd was becoming a real pain), and a huge range of old primes to choose from. Yes the 24-105L seemed sharp until I compared it to zeiss primes, its been sitting in my bag ever since …
fwiw here are some tests done on wides http://www.16-9.net/lens_tests/index.html only the 24mm/1.4L seems worth it, and yes comparing primes with zooms isn't always fair, but from my experience investing a few euros in exotic primes was well worth it.

Re: why not EF 14mm f/2.8L USM whit 5D
Salvi,
the 15mm is only a fraction of the price of the 14mm, and will get the job done quicker, unless you need a rectilinear lens for special purposes I wouldn't consider the 14mm. In fact as a recent switcher from Nikon to Canon I don't even consider the prime wides from Canon at all as they are reputably overpriced and weak. My 24-105L will soon be sold and is gradually replaced with other glass, not all opticals are the only thing that does not become never old, imho any Canon under 35mm is not worth its price, and you're better off with other brands like Leica, zeiss, zuiko, or even nikon with an adapter in that range if you're at ease working stop-down.
