Whos going to the Conference & Grants for guys in the UK to attend

Just wondered who was going to the conference and a bit of VERY useful info for any UK guys here.

There are grants available for UK residents form the International Trade Team, which have funding to assist people to trade export products and services anywhere in the world. Its usually a 50% grant (you don't pay back) for everything that you need to spend whilst away. That's including flights, accommodation conference, exhibition, stands, promotion materials etc etc.

I have a friend who is a DJ who travels the world in his job. He is in Singapore at the moment and was in Hong Kong last week, he has never paid for a plane ticket or accommodation in almost 5 yrs through this grant.

I have a meeting with one of the guys from the team who is coming to my home, as soon as i know anything new, i will let you know straight away.

This money is actually part of the European Social Fund, so anybody in Europe maybe able to tap into it as well from your government. But i dont know any info about this, but im sure your local government/council will have the info.

You just need to be imaginative in why you are going, and what you will be doing whilst your there, to make it feel its worth your while going.

Regards
Ian

Updates on grants

Ok i have had two meetng now with the Grants man, and it is all signed and sorted. Me and my fiance (and anybody else involved in my business) have upto £500 per person, contributions towards flights, accomadation and any other costs incurred.

It took about 20 mins in a meeting to get it confirmed, then in the second meeting he connected his laptop to my my wifi, and filled in an online form and sent it off directly. As soon as he clicked on send, it was signed and sealed.

Its not a massive ammount, but its £1000 towards a holiday i never had before.

If you want any more info, please drop me a note through either site below.

Regards
Ian
