Ok give me the last help if you can

Ok,
beeing not able to join ivrpa at the moment I ask the last opinion because I do not want to take time of people free of charge...

Please try to have a look of this image

Anyone knows how to eliminate the light from the wall ? I got this image braketing 5 different exposure.
Should I wait the time of the day when the sun is not in front of the window ? (i know I know...the hearth is in front of the sun) or there is another solution ?

Thanks

Roberto

The only way to get rid of that much sunlight is to shoot when its not there.

This is where the difference between real estate tours and higher quality tours comes in.

When I shoot a 4 scene US$120 tour of a house for a real estate agent "I do the best job I can at the time I'm there."

When I've doing a 10 scene hotel tour at US$100-150 a scene, I've shot the Lobby in the morning, early afternoon, late afternoon and sometimes in the evening. Test stitch the scenes and use the best one. I request hotel rooms that face north to avoid this specific problem. If they all face east or west, I shoot opposite the sun. South facing has to be shot early morning or late afternoon.

In the summer, the sun is higher in the sky and lower latitudes (New Mexico vs Britain) put the sun higher too.

If there's just a little sun spot on the floor, I edit it out in a cubic (distortion corrected) tiff.

Ok thanks Doug for your help...
that's was the last post in this forum because as I said I do not want to waste anybody time free of charge.

I will post next time when I'm rich (so probably soon :) )

Thanks again,
and good luck everybody

Roberto.

Re: Ok give me the last help if you can

Roberto,

I can't speak for others but to me shooting panoramas is 8 years worth of hobby to me (and so far the odd bit of money). Much like you I starting off with a Nikon Coolpix 990 and a FC-E8 adaptor. Without being able to ask questions and listen in on others discussions I wouldn't know what I do now. Don't feel you can't a ask questions (how ever silly you think it is), I'm sure we all must have been through the same process at some time and as for the doing things "free of charge", well if people can't spare the time then they don't need to answer.

Good luck,

Re: Ok give me the last help if you can

Roberto, i was the same as your self and Robert. I started with the Olympus camedia range and stuck with it till recently, when i purchased a canon 5D and manfrotto 303 head.

That was back in 1998 when i started and i plagued everybody for help and advise, but to be honest only just a say break even on the VR photography i do.

What i suggest is not to do it as exclusive service, but to do it as an additional service. For example every website i make, i try and bundle in VR tours, which i "include" in the price of the site.

Its much easier to charge £200 - £400 for a set of VR tours when it has been added to the cost of an expensive website. Maybe approach web designers, so they can use you, of course estate agents, but then you have more work than you really want.

Working directly with web designers is great as they embed the movie and will do everything, but for the same money, an estate agent will want the movie making and then it to be uploaded and set up on their site.

But overall you will really struggle to make ends meet just with VR photography, as most agents i have been hassled by companies selling Ipix and one shot kits over and over, so will know how much the kit costs and will be reluctant to pay a photographer much.

And i wouldn't worry about asking for advice, i don't think anybody here will be annoyed with people with genuine financial restrictions asking for advice, i know i don't.

Hope this advice helps
