Scott's Grotto

John Scott’s Grotto is, according to English Heritage, one of the best Victorian grottos. The panorama of the Robing Room is taken from a virtual tour of Scott's Grotto we produced for East Hert's District Council who manage the grotto.

Great pano Philip. Would be interested to learn how you achieved such uniform lighting.

The finished panorama is a composite of three separate panoramas. Each individual panorama was lit with two soft boxes, which were moved around to provide lighting in the areas required, i.e. main chamber, passages leading into the chamber and the far ends of the passage ways.

After that there was a fair amount of Photoshop work to remove all the different shadows thrown by the tripod and camera.
