3Sixty Pano Head
Has someone tried or used the Peace River Studios 3Sixty pano head?
Is there any review or 360Precision comparison?
Thanks in advance,
Ricardo
Re: 3Sixty Pano Head
Hi Andrew,
Thank your for the information.
By the way, my camera/lens/head setup is D200/10.5mm/Agnos TCPShort.
The Agnos rotator is very flexible... in all ways ;) so I need some more accurate to improve the results of batch (template) stitching. Today, with Agnos, all I can do using templates with good results is about 50% of my stitching.
Peace River Studios has a multi row pano head. You can see it at http://www.peaceriverstudios.com/16_3sixty/multi-index.html
I think I go to 360Precision Absolute. Do you know if it has click stop in the camera bracket at -15 degrees?
Warm regards,

Hi Andrew,
I saw, in another post, that you are going to 360 Adjuste.
If I understood, today you have an Absolute for D200 + 10.5mm (the same gear that I have).
If you want to sell your Absolute to by the new Adjuste, please, let me know.
My e-mail is ricardo.araujo@usvp.com.br

Re: 3Sixty Pano Head
Hi Ricardo,
I've got both. The Peace River Studios 3Sixty head was made for IPIX Corporation. It's a modified existing Peace River Studio head, which was sold by IPIX as part of their REALVIZ plugin for IPIX Interactive Studio. The issue with it is it can't take vertical shots. So you are restricted to cylindrical panoramas, or if you use a Sigma 8mm, you can get a spherical but there's a hole at the zenith. It's much like the Manfrotto 303 really.
The 360Precision by comparison is a much better product. It allows you to not only take vertical and downward shots, but increments in between. There's a number of reviews on this head already posted on the internet.
You haven't said what camera/lens you have, but I'd go with the 360Precision.
