Get Involved!

Each year seven members of the IVRPA board of directors are elected by
the general membership. Starting immediately IVRPA will
begin accepting candidate statements from IVRPA members who wish to serve on the 2008-2009
board. (Check the members-only forum section for candidate statements).

Nominations will be accepted through November 10, 2007 (Saturday), 23;00 UTC on the IVRPA web site.

Voting for the board will commence online 12 November 2007 and end two weeks later.
The candidates who receive the top 7 votes will be elected to the board.

The new board will officially begin work on 1 January 2008 for one year.

--What Does the Board Do?

The board of directors (BOD) works primarily on the communications and projects related to running IVRPA.
In 2008 we expect to have a presence at Photokina in Germany (23-28 September 2008) as we have had
in years past. Also we expect to produce a number of regional meetings of IVRPA members.

Most of the work of the BOD is done on line via email, chats, and telephone. We hope all BOD
members can attend Photokina, if possible.

--Why Should I Serve on the BOD?

IVRPA is an international organization of VR photographers and producers. The membership is made up of
professionals, educators, enthusiasts and others --- all producing great images!

If you volunteer to serve on the BOD then you will have a chance to lead the IVRPA as we move forward to promote the
work of IVRPA members and educate the public.

The tIme commitment is a few hours a week, but it can expand significantly depending on
your level of involvement or current projects. During the past year IVRPA produced the International VR Photography
Conference in California; improved the website, listed dozens of photographers on the Adobe Photographer directory,
sponsored local chapter meetings, produced videos from the conference; incorporated as a non-profit, etc.

Let us know if you are willing to get involved; we want some great people to move our organization forward.
