Controlling a camera from a PC
Does anybody know of a camera that can be controlled by the PC?
I need it to control the following
ISO
Shutter speed
Aperture
white balance
Anything else would be a bonus :)
Regards
Ian
Re: Controlling a camera from a PC
Hi Aldo
Not sure mate, I'm just looking at ways to improve the system we have. I have now got it working perfect in a studio in London, and used it all week for Elite model agency for the past three days with London Fashion Week design winners. But i am looking at probably about 4-8 weeks post production work or more now :(
Once i get a few samples ill pop them on here for you to see, if they look as good on screen as they do through the view finders, i think I may have a winner here.
Thanks for the help Dennis and Doug:)

Like the other said, its a matter of software that comes with the camera.
Canon has a setup for the 40D that can do it with WiFi as well as download the photos immediately to a laptop. It would be perfect for shooting from a pole.

Re: Controlling a camera from a PC
Basically any Canon camera can do that. Nikon, Fuji, and I guess the others all have 'tethered shooting' software, but Canon has a fairly well documented API that is publically available. AFAIK, it works on most (digital) Canon cameras, point-and-shoot as well as DSLR.
