Only half a panorama with a epson R2400 pinter
I have a panorama of a historical local rugby ground that is about to be superseeded. The problem is when I try to print out on the R2400 printer with roll paper I did a print preview and it only shows half the photo lenghtwise, and I decided to print. It only printed half the photo. Are there any settings I can use be it with epson or photoshop CS3, any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi there (hi doug!):
How long is your image which you're trying to print?
You will need to go into your print settings and make a custom page size to accommodate the length of your image. Using the Epson 1280 w/roll paper, I'm able to get print lengths up to about 44" (IIRC; this may be a limitation only on the Mac w/Epson printer drivers).

Re: Only half a panorama with a epson R2400 pinter
Thanks very much for your reply I can now give more deatails that you may be able to help. The width or length I managed to achieve was 45" by using the custom settings in Photoshop. It is when I preview it in the Epson print software I get the Half the page lengthwise (having rotating the canvas by 90 deg.)and it is true to the printout. I must assume that the problem is with Epson so I may get in touch with them and any information will be passed on to this forum.

Interesting.... I am having the identical problem on an Epson 1280 on a PC. I will see if Epson has an answer and post anything useful.

Hi,
you can also use 'epson easy photoprint' part of there creative suite, i got it supplied with my r1800, select picture, then select 'Roll (borderless)' under paper source, select paper type and under 'layout and print' select 'horizontal' and then print. only drawback it does'nt print certain files, cant remember what. sorry.

Its probably a limitation of the software, depending on how wide you're trying to print.
I have an Epson R320 that can print Epson's defunct Panoramic Paper 8.3" x 23.8" paper size, but I tried to use MS Word to lay it out and Word simply won't print the part past 14"
You may need a program like Adobe's old Pagemenker (I forget what replaced it) or MS Publisher that will allow large custom sizes
