Denmark. Hjerl Hede Museum: The Church
Submitted by Sven Korsgaard on Wed, 2008-03-19 11:14.
The Church at Hjerl Hede Museum is a reconstruction
of the romanesque style of church which was built
in Denmark in the 1100s.
Tjørring Church north of Herning served as a model.
The church-bell is a copy of the bell at Smollerup,
the oldest in Denmark.

Beautifully captured. What a gorgeous place. We forget that in the UK most of our ancient churches would have been brightly painted... not to mention the Roman ruins!
