360 tours/ getting started/which software and camera equip?
I am exploring adding virtual tours to my current photography business. Below is my equipment list I think that would work for 360x180. I want to output in QT, Java and Flash. I don't want to be limited to QT and I use a PC.
I plan to work in the luxury market; vacation homes, local attractions, resorts, golf courses, beaches, new developments, and real estate.
Camera:
Canon 20D
I think these are my lens options-
Which lens will get me the largest FOV:like everyone else, I want to take as few photos as possible and give great overall viewing experience
Sigma 8mm fisheye
Sigma 10mm fisheye - seems to be designed for 20D?
Canon 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye
Tripod head-
Nodal Ninja 3 vs Nodal Ninja 5. Since I own a Canon 70-200 lens, I think I should get the NN5. But when would I use this lens for VTs? Beach scenes?
Software-
Stitcher choice, PTGuiPro, can I install on laptop and office PC with personal license?
Tour authoring - 1. Anybody know anything about 3dVista? More affordable I think
2. Does anybody use Realviz for stitching and creating tours? A little spendy, is it worth the $$
3. other suggestions
Thanks for the help. I am interested in setting myself up so I won't be replacing equip for a year.
Judy
