Donauturm Wien (Danube Tower, Vienna, Austria)
Horizontal pole panorama from Danube Tower. Pilo and I had the chance to climb up through a very narrow shaft above the lift engines up onto the restricted telecom and broadcasting deck early in the morning to take a lot of spherical and cylindrical panoramas and a very high resolution pano of vienna downtown. Here is a shot taken with horizontal monopod and a nadir view straight down 180 meters.

no, as pilo had the job to take a cylindrical pano around the tower for the owners company he asked me to accompany him as a tech consultant ;-) his pano job around the complete tower was quite difficult as the platform has about 25 meters diameter. (what about the nodal point of a 24-70mm in this situation?) but i calculated a little bit and everything of the job worked out well.
afterwards we took the chance to capture some more stuff for ourselves as the pano above shows ;-)
lot of panos and hires pix are now waiting on the hard drives...

That's quite a spectacular view. Was it hard to get permission?
