Auto online VR Maker
Hi there, we are in the middle of making a HUGE property portal at the moment for a client and we are wanting to add in a vr system that will auto generate a vr tour system.
All we want it to do is for you to be able to add in a pano that has been created using standard stitching or a one shot lens, and when it is uploaded, it will display it through a flash viewer, not java or QT. Our system will re-size it to a specified width to stop system overload, and also allow you to add them in sets, IE more than one per home.
Anybody know of any good flash viewers for cylinder tours, not spherical at the moment (unless you know one that can do both).
Not too sure. I was sent a
Not too sure.
I was sent a private email from a member on here with a list of contact names and details, some were very very good.
I'm just finishing some bits off the system, so we can start doing some tests with it and work out the exact requirements we have. This should be done in the next few weeks.
Can i ask why you are asking, is it because your needing something similar?

Hi there:
Ha, no -- Although I could probably _provide_ somehting similar. :)
Are you using Thomas Rauscher's Pano2QTVR -> Flash display, or something else?
Please let us know when you have something ready to go for public viewing...
Cheers,

I haven't looked at any of them yet except control VR products, simply because i have used Control VR quite a large amount in the past (but only with vr objects)

I expect there are many more effective solutions for this particular project, which i will be researching in depth in the next few weeks.
Ill keep you informed with all progress guys.

Hey Ian: I'm not familiar

Honestly mate, you cant
Honestly mate, you cant believe how big that crane is, its the second tallest mobile crane in Europe
ITS MASSIVE!!!
We just couldn't get far enough away from it to take the photos so had to use a 15mm lens, which makes an interesting wide focal movie, but removes the scale of the size of it.
It is besides a building in Newcastle/Gateshead (England) called the Baltic, which identical to a building on the other side of the river called the Baltic Mill (Big famous art gallery besides millennium bridge)
The Baltic Mill is on the opposite side of the river of this movie, we only chose it as we know people in the local area know its probably the tallest building in the region, so can compare it in their mind against its size.
but i like this movie best http://www.quicktimevirtualreality.com/qtvr/objects/esaccess/
Move the mouse to the left and right (and not up and down), as i have uploaded the wrong movie ;), but if you go fast enough, it looks like a hippo on Viagra :D
I think i'm going to have to start putting larger movies on my site, as they are still optimized to about 100kb due to lack of broadband when i set the site up, now i think we need some full screen size movies, and the site is soooooo far out of date, i produced 3 yrs ago full tours of the inside of the building, and i still haven't put them on there and have hundreds of others in the area, some I'm so proud of.
Oh and

I couldn't recommend these guys high enough, they are incredible, and the support is second to none.
But I'm not as impressed with their pano viewer

Speak soon
Ian
Hippo on viagra... :P
Nice...
I have seen the flashloaded stuff before... I tend to roll my own, so never got anything from them -- but they do seem to have it all together now.
Yah, their pano viewer isn't nearly as impressive.. especially with Thomas Rauscher's as good as it is.

How Big?
Wow that is big, I work in the movies and we use self powered booms all the time but we normally use 60-80 footers, 20-30 meters I guess it would translate to. what is the size of that boom lift?

Those are just little toys,
Those are just little toys, take a look at this bad boy
http://www.esaccess.co.uk/truck_mounted_access_platforms/truck_mounted_a...
That's got a 30metre boom and has a 15 metre flick on the end, so about 45 metres, but the one i virtualised, i believe is about 60 metres, and they have a bigger one on order at the moment.
and this is so impressive its unreal

and

These drop over the side of the bridge, then go under it, and back up the other side. The operator can even drive the truck from insides of the basket using remote control and it will adjust to the contour of the bridge automatically, so if they are under a viaduct it will extend and drop using sensors to follow the curve of the arches.
I'm not a crane anorak, but if you ever get the chance to stand there and watch one of these operate it is quite something. When it takes a crane almost 5 Min's of continuous extending, as it just keeps going up and up and up, until you can no longer see the guy in the basket.
THEN THAT IS HIGH!!!

Have you figured this out
Have you figured this out yet?
