QuickTime video player for pro music/audio tutorials
OK, so QuickTime isn't just for QTVR, right? :-)
After a minor delay, replacing a couple Flash tracks with Sprite and Text ones (due to the QT 7.1.3 update), the QuickTime-based video players for my client Groovebox have gone live!
I worked with Groovebox to create a new delivery mechanism for their Web-based tutorials (Pro Tools, GarageBand, Cubase, etc). Groovebox offers premium content to their subscribers, and also a selection of content for free. The players are smart about this, and can deliver "quick tips" to their subscribers, while delivering sponsor advertising and links with the free version -- in either case, the video tutorial is delivered up in one of two resolutions.
The player interacts with server-side scripts to deliver the tutorials on a per-user basis, and allows Groovebox to dynamically insert video intros, outros and interstitial sponsor ads. No matter what they're showing, though, it all appears as one seamless video to the user. Fun!
Pick up a free pass, and enjoy...
Cheers,
Patrick

These are not the average "free" or "promotional" videos, but actual in-depth, large format, high quality training videos used by thousands of professionals and hobbyists alike. The videos are updated and rotated monthly...
