LSP Activation - Is it safe to re-install software ?
I'm reconfiguring my systems and may need to re-install LiveStage Pro.
In the past, if there was ever an issue (such as re-installing on a different machine) I just contacted Totally Hip and it was taken care of.
But regarding the baffling changes in that company and its uncertain support and continued development of LSP, I'm anxious about re-installing the software.
Just want to see what other people feel, and if anyone has had any recent activation problems (I did see the post regarding activation trouble with the windows demo).
Also: What happens if Totally Hip goes completely under, or if they stop supporting LSP entirely? How would we be able to install and use our software? Are these issues irrelevant if a dongle version of the software was purchased (I don't have a dongle version).
Re: LSP Activation - Is it safe to re-install software ?
Hi,
I can't comment on the dongle, but I can comment on a re-install on Windows. Patrick is correct the outcome is not good. After installing LSP, I encountered blue screens until I installed the PACE InterLok drivers: http://www.paceap.com/dldrvr.html. I was unable to activate with the drivers installed, thus LSP is in trial mode.

Re: LSP Activation - Is it safe to re-install software ?
Hi Peter:
I haven't had any issues with activation on my Mac, with the latest download available from the Stagedoor site. I don't know what the experience will be on Windows, especially with the Pace security and internet activation required. Probably not good. :(
It would appear from all the current events at THS (or non-events?) that LSP is going to be an orphan at some point -- If you can smartly backup your system, and simply _move_ LSP back over rather than reinstalling, that may be better.
I have no idea about the dongle version -- anyone?
