embedding directional sound in quicktime

Hello everybody,

a client wants to embend directional sound to my panoramas and now he is struggeling with Livestage. Doing it as it is explained in the manual produces very unsatisfying results, fading in and out of the different soundfiles doesn't seem to work properly, it sounds, like it is just cut off, when you vary the pan.
My question is: Are there any tutorials for directional sound in LiveStage ( or any other software ) around in the web ? And are there any examples for directional sound in Quicktime in the Web to see, what is possible to produce with LiveStage ( or any other software ) ? Every hint is welcome !

Thanks in advance

Kay-Uwe

Re: embedding directional sound in quicktime

Hi, earlier this summer I created a panorama with directional sound. I used CubicConverter (http://www.clickheredesign.com.au/cubicconnector/). You can see the results on my personal site (http://www.cmerrill.com/mt/2006/03/now_with_sound.php). The audio is a one-minute loop of ambient sound I recorded while taking the pictures. The fades are pretty sharp so if you're spinning too fast it will sound like the audio just cuts out, but if you move slower the fade in/out is pretty gentle. The software lets you control how far around the circle the sound is audible, and I think you can add several sounds at different points.
