LoadComponent Question (QT 7.5 on Windows)

Hello Everyone!

With the release of QuickTime 7.5 I'm now having a problem on Windows
with a QTVR video game I wrote and the LiveStage QSXE component. There
is no problem on MacOS 10.4 with the Universal Binary QSXE component.

Here's my background situation:

I'm finding that on Windows XP my movie's call to ComponentVersion("wire","qsxe","THW2")
always returns 65537, *whether or not* the QSXE component is in the QTComponents
folder. On MacOS 10.4, the ComponentVersion call returns 65539 when the
component is in the folder, and 0 when it is not.

Can anybody help me?

Skins made in Livstage inserted into Director

If I built a custom skin for QTVR in Livstage Pro, would I then be able to import it into Director (with the custom buttons etc etc)?

Does anyone have the exe file for the trial version for Windows, the website seems to be down??

Thanks

telescope presentation possible with LSP?

Hello folks, (sorry for cross-posting to the apple-vr-list)

I need to built some kind of telescope presentation for exhibition use:

Basically, the visitor will see a LCD screen with a start image, asking him to turn the screen. (the visitor needs to step around the screen while turning it). As soon as he does, the cylindrical panorama shows up and turns according to the rotation of the LCD. At certain points, hotspots should trigger text information blocks to show up. If left alone, the presentation should show the start image again after an idle time of e.g. 30 sec.

Check for pressed keys

Hello.

It's been a while since I did something with LiveStage Pro, so I don't seem to find a way to do the following:

I want to check inside an mouseclick event, if the user has pressed one of the command keys (shift, control,...) while clicking the mouse.

Any idea how this can be done?

There is the action keyisdown, but it seems that it only can be used for actual keys - meaning one of the character keys - as it needs a character as the second parameter. And the other key related actions can only be used inside a key-related event.

Thanks a lot,
Michael Vogt

Need Live Stage Pro

qtvr-object: waiting image?

Hello,

I would like to show some kind of waiting image while a 3MB qtvr object is loading. The object has a sprite track with hotspots, and I wanted to do something similar with the wait image. My ideas was to add an image track (visible) and an additional sprite track with a sprite (ObjectNamed("imagename").SetVisible(FALSE))telling the specific image to switch to invisible after a while (ticks or even better "when qtvr object is completely loaded"). Unfortuneately the image doesn't show up at all. Am I completly wrong with this idea?

Any help warmly appreciated!

Yours,
Michael
