Time for a well overdue website refresh
Submitted by Robert Bilsland on Fri, 2011-06-10 13:25.After paying very little attention to http://www.panoview.co.uk for quite a while, and as I had been kindly asked to contribute to the "Masters of Contemporary Panoramic Photography" exhibit in Palmela, I decided that it was about time to refresh my website. Shooting photos and stitching them into panoramas was one thing, but getting round to updating my website was another. My gallery contains all my work that is displayed as part of the exhibit, in both static projection and interactive form.

Gigapixels and giga headaches

Submitted by Christopher Glick on Mon, 2008-12-22 09:06.I'm an amateur and likely always will be.
For shooting, I use a Canon 350D, Peleng lens, and NodalNinja 3. I shoot in RAW then make exposure and white balance adjustments in Canon's Digital Photographer Pro. I export as 16-bit TIFFs. Frequently I forget, but occasionally I run the TIFFs through Kekus' LensFixCI to remedy chromatic aberration before feeding them into a stitcher.

EveryScape Ambassador program debut
Submitted by Michael Quan on Fri, 2008-05-16 15:57.http://www.ambassadors.everyscape.com/about
EveryScape is launching their ambassador program for road coverage and interior photography
of businesses. It's a very ambitious global approach and EveryScape has some serious money to start the ball rolling.
It's not the highest quality VR imaging, but they are looking to produce many, many, many panoramas
of communities and businesses.

It's going to get crowded on the streets with all these street mapping companies. Keep
both hands on the wheel and avoid gawking as their vehicles pass by :-)

A panorama in print
Submitted by Robert Bilsland on Fri, 2007-09-21 12:12.I don't usually set out to sell my work, I'm more into capturing views and sharing them with others. Then out of the blue I get an email from a design company (The Cutting Edge Graphics) about a panoramic view I had shot of St. Mary Magdalene Church, Croome D'Abitot in Worcestershire, England. They told me they were creating a leaflet for the Churches Conservation Trust and would like to use my work. Well now I've seen the finished leaflet and am very pleased.
