- Biography
Studied electronics and painting in Germany and Austria. Art exhibitions in DE, AT, CH, IT and USA, from the 1980ies up to now with paintings and in the last 6 years with fine art photography too. Some big artworks in architectural contexts (church, school, house, museum).
From 2000-04 I was a professor holding lectures and rehearsals about imaging and video technologies at a university for appied sciences. I restarted my education work in 2007 with lectures and rehearsals about digital workflow (from digital camera to professional printing) and interactive design. - In winter term 2008/09 I was leading a team of 25 students to create a spherical HDR virtual tour with over 80 nodes covering the whole building of the University of Applied Sciences in St.Pölten (Lower Austria).
Trainings, rehearsals, workshops and lectures in Austria and Switzerland on promotion tours of companies like Adobe, Canon or Wacom and on conferences like PanoTools Meeting and Photoshop Convention.
Occasionally I'm producing tutorial DVD's for some german speaking publishers (e.g. Director MX 2004 (Galileo Press), Adobe After Effects 6.5 (Addison-Wesley) and 7.0 Workshops (video2brain) and Photoshop CS2 Pro Workshops (video2brain). In 2006 I took part in a Photoshop workshop DVD production together with some other photographers showing professional workflows in Photoshop using Wacom graphic tablets ("Real-Life Photoshop Workflows", http://amzn.to/bwFv9c, in german, english, french, spansh, italian and dutch). The next production was "Landschaft, Architektur, Panorama" (http://amzn.to/d8bM9R), published by Addison-Wesley. More DVDs are covering Adobe Photoshop Lightroom (http://amzn.to/c5e0Ne) and Adobe Photoshop CS3 for advanced users (http://amzn.to/aqJdI8). The recent production ist abour Lightroom 3 (http://amzn.to/da5pHr).
The most recent production is a comprehensive video training about panoramic photography with 18 hours of live videos and screencasts covering every aspect of digital panorama production (http://amzn.to/8ZzBQM).In 2005 I wrote a book about Photoshop CS2 for professional users (http://amzn.to/cZHoZE), which has a successful follow up about Photoshop CS3 (http://amzn.to/aLuibx). My recent photoshop related publication is my 3rd book for version cs4 (http://amzn.to/aEsnuq).
In 2009 I'm wrote the most comprehensive german book about digital panoramic photography (http://amzn.to/c2B78U). It's regarded as the definitive book now in the german speaking countries. The book has a companion website: http://panoramabuch.com (german). My panoramas are currently located on a separate Website (http://bredenfeld.com/pano) and on 360cities.net (http://www.360cities.net/profile/thomas-bredenfeld).
