So I have this project that requires me to have a 180′ panorama interactive image with hotspots. You use a controller to click on the hotspot and a regular video(not 360′) will play and goes back to the panorama image after finish playing. All these will be viewed with a VR headset. Do you guys have any free software recommendations or tutorials that can guide me? I’d prefer to use actionscipt if it is possible. Please help!
November 23, 2016 at 2:33 pm #11276Its not free, but I’m pretty sure you can do this in panotour. There may be free alternatives that do the same time.
You could definitely do it in Unity, but that would take more work. Not actionscript, but free.

November 23, 2016 at 10:38 pm #11277krpano will do what you need, it is inexpensive but not free

kolor panotour is basically a GUI for krpano, but what you want to do may need to be custom coded in krpano

for a free alternative, look at google vr view, but it does not have anywhere near krpano’s functionality and may not do everything you need

actionscipt is only for flash, which does not work on any mobile device or vr headset and is being depreciated on desktop, currently in late 2016 all vr players are HTML5 / webGL and coded in javascript & xml etc

Additionally to all the previous link you can try:
https://aframe.io/ : Is an opensource web VR framework and you can do what you want.
or
http://www.css3create.com/css/panorama3D/ that is only with CSS .

Here’s a tutorial and sample of 360° interactive photo / video (Panorama also work)
– 360° interactive photo demo and tutorial (AKA Hotspots)
– 360° interactive video demo and tutorialHotspots in VR Mode will become gaze-through in Cardboard. Hope this works!
