Our new virtual tour tool, Metareal Stage, is now in public beta!

Hi Everyone!

This is Gareth from Metareal.

Some of you may remember us from IVRPA’17 in Vienna where we launched our company and announced Metareal Stage – our full 3D Virtual Tour authoring tool that works using 360 panoramas.

Well, we’ve been hard at work for the last year, and now, thanks to the team here at Metareal and the feedback from our fearless band of early alpha testers, I’m very proud to announce that the Beta release is now publicly available.

Please bear in mind that it’s a Beta product, so although it’s production-ready, this is just the beginning and we’ve lots more innovative tools and functionality coming in the following weeks and months.

Now the killer question: Can the tours be hosted on ones own servers or are they like Matterport bound to your servers?

For now the Tours are hosted, however, soon after payments go live (4-6 weeks) it will also be possible to export a packaged version of a tour that you can host yourself (for a small fee).

That’s some good news, because otherwise the number of customers who I could use that for will be exceptionally limited. Looking forward to it and hope to meanwhile find the time for a test run.
