Hi everyone,
im a professional photographer based in Germany.
I need a stitching software which is able to create an stereoscope 3d 360° Panorama for using on VR headsets.
There is an App called: “oculus 360 photo“ which offers this possibility on a smartphone. But i need this program as an desktop Version for Mac, so i can use my professional equipment, because the environment is very dark whre the pictures should be taken
Does anyone knows if ther is a programm for this work on the market?I would be very happy if somonme could help me.
Kind regards.

thank you for your very fast reaction.
I need a software for “still” photography not for video. Please excuse my bad English.
November 4, 2016 at 7:13 am #11092There is no dedicated stereo stitching software. We use ptgui, but it’s a tedious process and needs special care while capturing.
Have you done this before?November 4, 2016 at 7:23 am #11093Hi Jürgen,
thanks for your awnser.
I also use ptgui but i`ve never done a stereo stitching with it.
Is it possible?November 4, 2016 at 7:27 am #11094There is an App called: “oculus 360 photo“ which offers this possibility on a smartphone.
I cannot believe that there is no Desktop solution.November 4, 2016 at 8:28 am #11099I don’t think that someone can stitch a decent stereo pano on a smartphone^^.
And yes, with ptgui it is possible but as I said it’s quite cumbersome.

In one of our recent conference videos (I think that was Prague) Jim Watters explains about how to do it.
My methods are slightly different but that will get you started.
December 6, 2016 at 1:05 am #11338My helper program, PT3D, to be released in December 2016, makes stitching stereo panoramas with PTGui considerably easier, though still harder than 2D stitching. It is for photos taken with a stereo pair of cameras, not for the single camera techniques. I’ll announce it here.
