I think technically they are the same. There is no difference besides that GTP get a discount.

I don’t think that someone can stitch a decent stereo pano on a smartphone^^.
And yes, with ptgui it is possible but as I said it’s quite cumbersome.

In one of our recent conference videos (I think that was Prague) Jim Watters explains about how to do it.
My methods are slightly different but that will get you started.
There is no dedicated stereo stitching software. We use ptgui, but it’s a tedious process and needs special care while capturing.
Have you done this before? While in general for your setup it is advised to shoot four around your result is a complete mess and shouldn’t look like this.
Unfortunately I only work in ptgui and can’t help you to solve the issue in autopano. If you always only use the 8mm then the R is the preferred choice.
As soon as you want to go multi row you can’t use the R series.
Mult irow is needed for panos with lenses above 10mm and will result in higher resolution.Ptgui HDR Works with tif and jpg as well. Why do you think it doesn’t? Make sure the exif data is correct to allow ptgui automatic recognition of bracketed sets.

To be honest, as a beginner you will have a hard time getting any useful results for interiors with these lenses. This is not to discourage you but to help you avoid frustration and giving up too early.Have a look at our ressources page, study the material and get back with your questions.

So you are using a company’s free service and complain about them implementing a logo?!
I’m sure the same will happen if you use other free services like 360cities, Roundme or Littlestar – to name just a few – and I’d say that’s only fair, no?If you can’t live with such advertising you still have the choice to run your own viewer on your own webspace.
You indeed must be living in a World Beyond Reality. There are thousands of Theta users and I haven’t heard from a single one that there are any logos in the output. I also can’t find logos in any Of my own Theta images since the first version.
Please explain how you got this impression and what you are doing to retrieve your images.
The problem is that in a review you can’t simply compare functions as with camera models. We’re talking about entirely different concepts. To do these justice a full review would need a LOT of time.
So better name the three leading tour building packages and the two leading stitchers and leave the rest to anyone’s taste.
Or to make it short, get ptgui and pano2vr and be happy for the rest of your life.
I suggest you learn to publish your own panoramas on your own webspace to get an idea what is needed and how much work that is before you offer that service for a client.
As for the tours I think it depends a lot on how much emphasis you put on the photography part and how uch on the tour-building part. While you can cut on teh photogrpahy using a Theta, you will not be able to cut on the tour building as that in both cases will be the same.
Hi Peter, most likely it will be me to organize and manage the booth.
If you have any questions or suggestions just write to juergen.schrader@ivrpa.orgAs in recent years we are planning to have a booth at Photokina while the programm we’ll be running is not decided yet. The least I can say is that we will have short tutorials and presentations during the entire show.
As it is a huge organisational task to organize a “full” conference with speakers even for just one day we cannot always justify the effort. So I’ll have to leave that open for the momen.November 28, 2015 at 10:00 am in reply to: What happened to the migration from FB that was supposed to happen here? #7093No migration will happen out of it’s own.
People HATE changes.BTW, if one wants to prevent spammers and other “unwanted” posters it’s not a matter of the platform.
To be honest, all the tools are already available on FB. Key is to decide who you let in and to closely moderate the group. Without doing this any other place will get clogged in no time.So far no package will create a tour for all platforms in one go.
There’s too many considerations and particular needs to be taken care of.
In general the most flexible thing you can get is Krpano which is more or less plain XML scripting while it has some nice drag’n drop templates for a quick start. If one prefers the convenience of a GUI look at Panotour Pro (which uses Krpano as the core engine) or Pano2VR. They both offer great value for the money but can have some shortcomings compared towards the full flexibility of handcoding.
All three have a great and helpful user community in their forums with fast response.
It all depends on ones personal needs and preferences. Luckily all of them can be downloaded and evaluated for free.
Members import – not the highest priority, but what is still needed to get members data in here from the old site? I thought that everything is prepared and we just need to setup S2? Does S2 need to be setup before the import? Willy, when can you take care of that or shaöl someone else do it?
Images in forum – seems to be currently not possible. How can one show an image if, for example, it is needed to describe a problem?
