    Hi Jim,

It’s good to see you’re still around and doing 360. Your memories are a nice romp through VR history and made me think about what it was like in the early days.

Some of the other players included Peace River Studios, VR Toolbox, LivePicture, TribeWorks, and Kodak. I’m sure Scott Highton could contribute to your timeline.

Maybe we could have a Members Zoom meeting where we gather as many of the people like yourself to talk about the history of VR.

Thanks for supporting the group as long as you have.

I haven’t “Persilschein” (whitewashed) anything Joergen, I only gave my impression of what I have found since joining the board. What I have discovered is that the charges Sam & Luc have made are based on their agenda of discrediting Jürgen, Karyn, and Tanya. I haven’t found anything that would make me want to remove them from the board. Everything is in place and we are working towards building a better group.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve canceled your membership and promise that we will do a better job in making the group more active when you return.

No, unfortunately, we did not record the meeting. There were plenty of technical difficulties that recording would have made it even more difficult. We are looking at some better solutions for the webinars that we are planning on hosting that would include recording for on-demand viewing later.

We should have some notes posted within a week.

Based on his latest statement, Mr. Schrader is a much larger liability to the group than Mr. Rohn.

All of this could have been avoided altogether with better leadership. Instead, Mr. Schrader has demonstrated divisive tactics and a complete lack of leadership. Spending $1,400.00 for a PR person to advise and draft a statement for something that was a result of his actions is a complete waste of our dues.

I’m sure there are plenty of other questionable expenses and decisions that he has made that has put the non-profit status of the group at far more risk than what he tries to portray.

How many current members have voted? How many current members do we have?

When are you planning on making an announcement that the voting is open? There should be an announcement sent to every member with a link to the ballot. There should be more than just a simple post in the Members forum if we’re going to have a worthwhile turnout.

Where are we supposed to make our statements? There is no place to make a statement in the forum Jürgen set up. Do we set up a new forum?

This is the first time I’ve seen the correspondence from Bill that triggered the problem. And if I had been in Bill’s shoes when he received your initial email, I would’ve responded the same as he did.

I don’t know if it’s your English or sense of humor that rubs people the wrong way, but you have a knack for pissing people off. And based on your response here, I can see why.

How about you detail all of this to the Members and let them decide what to do?

I suspect that a large number of them will decide to not renew. Why should they? There’s nothing happening and the BoD refuses to communicate because there aren’t enough active BoD members.

I won’t be able to attend today’s BoD meeting because of family matters and will be traveling next week.

I’m going to try and ask politely, Call early elections and step aside so that we can start the rebuilding process without the drama. It doesn’t have to be difficult, but you are making it difficult.

The group is no different from others in that the direction and tone of the BoD are reflective of the leader, ie, President. So in the formal sense, it’s not run by one person. But, in reality, it is run by one person’s direction. And, that be you, Jürgen.

What changed for me is that Bill is usually a quiet, non-confrontational kind of person who’s the only objective is to please people, not piss them off. And then to bring it up in his swan song, you know this has been grinding on him for a long time. I’m assuming this goes back to Las Vegas when they abruptly pulled out of the conference. After a conversation/communication with you, Jürgen.

    What was said?

As I recall, this was the conference that you took over from Jeff Handley, who had already done a bunch of the work until NN bailed. I was only there for an hour to see a demo of a camera, but I could feel an uneasiness or bad vibe and just wanted to get out of there and head back home.

When you have people like Bill saying the things he has, add former BoD members and others that you’ve managed to piss off and the membership trend, it’s time to step aside. Are you sure you really want to have a list of the complaints brought out into the open? That would be opening a can of worms that you won’t be able to put back in the can.

I’m not leading a pitchfork parade or shouting from the sidelines. I’m saying that we need to restart the BoD with a clean slate that’s not afraid to communicate with the Members in a timely manner, not when they are backed into a corner.

I would prefer that this be done without the drama of shouting or a pitchfork parade and we hold elections sooner rather than later.

Jürgen, Bill Bailey just posted this and sent emails to their customers.

    https://shop.nodalninja.com/blog/friends-romans-countrymen-lend-me-your-ears/?fbclid=IwAR1xctbOVb6JZXaW2t6plPoHtUTxuB_ZihF2sqs86R1uMMmH_JsZ02Vp9-k

What exactly did you say to Bill to cause him to abandon the group? Whatever it was, it didn’t sit well with him.

This is not a good thing to have sponsors dropping their support because of something that a BoD member said to them. Bill has always struck me as a well-balanced person and you must have said something pretty nasty to get him this pissed.

I think it’s time to call early elections and for you to step aside. This is not good.

There are too many negative things that have come from this BoD. We need to restart the BoD with a clean slate. The sooner, the better.

The last post that came from you was about a BoD meeting scheduled for 9/20 that you invited me to without any instructions of how to join. You mentioned that you weren’t optimistic that there will be enough BoD members to have a meeting. I replied back to you with questions as to how to connect so that I could attend. I also tried several times to contact you on 9/20.

This answered my next question which was “Who’s still on the BoD.” I can see that the BoD is not very active. Why is that? If someone is away from their seat on the BoD for an extended period they should be replaced with someone who is able to fulfill the obligation.

In reviewing the most current statement Jan.-Aug. 2019, it looks like there was a <$7,282.58> loss that includes $20,688.27 in meals, $14,764.70 for video equipment, and $13,846.68 for rent. I thought the group had purchased video equipment for Vienna. What happened to that equipment?

I’d also like to better understand the role the group plays with the conference in regards to speakers, meals, space, organizing. What are the guidelines for everyone?

When will you have a Balance Sheet for 2019 that includes all the bank accounts?

I’ll continue to communicate thru this forum vs. email since I can see that this is getting thru. When’s the next BoD meeting and how can I attend?

    Danke,
    Loren

Let’s get back to why this post even exists:
    1) What’s the status of the group financially?
    2) Who is still on the BoD?
    3) What’s the status of Florian.

I really don’t care about the last election, that can be corrected with the upcoming elections. Let’s stop wasting time pointing fingers at each other.

As Jack Webb on Dragnet used to say, Just the facts man, just the facts.

Also, quit stonewalling us. I’ve tried to reach out to you several times on your ivrpa.org account and they are bouncing back now.

Bill, I’m working with Jurgen and the Board to resolve these issues and get the group moving forward again. We will have answers to your concerns as soon as we can. It should be in the next couple of weeks.

There is a significant amount of money that has not been accounted for on some questionable expenses that need to be addressed. We’re not talking about a couple of hundred dollars. We’re talking several thousand dollars. I hope that the Treasurers report is accurate so that we can compare the previous financials to the current financials. It may be in the Members best interests to have an audit done to see exactly where the money went.

When can we expect the Treasurers report?
