Maybe a 30 days free trial of a software works also? E.g. Creative Cloud? Would be nice to post a possible solution here if one exists.
April 19, 2019 at 1:47 pm in reply to: Best 360 Photography into Virtual Tour for Real Estate #22019I am – soon will be Matterport Service Provider (MSP) – and just can say, leave your hands off Matterport if you want to provide a secure, GDPR/DSVGO conform and copyright legal experience for your customers. Their TOC´s and Legals are IMO far from anything acceptable and they change these and their pricing when they want without even informing their customers.
You will get the announcement with your first new invoice.
They also have full control of the high quality material you provided, but claim them their own material which they can sell and do what they want with after selling you a 134 MP camera from which you only will get a 15MP panorama.
AR is different, but much more intensive to develop for a real great experience. MuseumNext is a great Twitter Channel and event on this to follow, also the hashtag: #MuseumNext
I would not expect too much. The VR hype is over and most museums are facing major other challenges and do not have time for VR – unfortunately. Also their personal focus is more on 3D scanning for preservation than on 360 tours for virtual visitors. They need real visitors.
Besides that copyright is often the showstopper. If they do not own all rights on their exhibited items, they often are just not allowed to do this or had to pay extra for virtual publication which they rarely do.
But I hope that more than in the past contribute to projects like e.g. Europeana.eu
September 15, 2018 at 3:57 am in reply to: How much does a 360 Panoramic photographer earn on average? #18173I just can confirm what Jürgen posted. Also you should think about your main target groups. Offering just 360 is often not enough. You should be able to offer more than this depending on the needs of your target groups.
They updated their legals last week.
April 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm in reply to: Forge.js: the free, open-source framework for the ultimate VR experiences #12892Look forward to try it. Would love a plugin for Matterport Tours when they release a SDK. Maybe you can get early access to it. A Beta should be available by now.
