I feel the choice of lens may drive resolution. The longer the focal length, the greater the number of images for a pano with a given FOV. The larger stitched pano will provide greater detail at the cost of processing time and storaae size.
Thank you Jürgen. I am opt for a longer lens. The museum is an old fort that houses a very large cannon, a 16 inch gun from a WWII battleship.
