Digital Twins

Photographic digital twins present a rapidly expanding market, finding applications in fields such as construction, design, archaeology, architecture, urban planning, and manufacturing. Boeing is a leader in this technology space. Join us, as Jeremiah Scott, Technical Fellow at Boeing, shares the application of and use cases for spherical imaging in this domain.

Saturday, March 2nd at 11 AM ET, 8 AM PT, 4 PM UTC.

Boeing employs 360-degree photography to bolster both engineering and production standard work. This presentation will share some of the processes supported, along with the equipment used, and the capabilities of their internally developed application. APEX solutions, acting like a "Google Street View" for Boeing products, have proven their prowess in facilitating effective visual communication of information.

Advanced Photographic Engineering eXperience, also known as "APEX", is a platform and service developed and supported by the Boeing Research and Technology organization. In 2023, they welcomed over 325,000 internal visitors, facilitating production enhancements throughout the lifecycle of Boeing's products. They have provided engineering tools that link the physical build of their products to their design definition. They have enhanced communication in all aspects of the aerospace production lifecycle.

The APEX team captures, processes and delivers 100’s of 360-degree photographic records of Boeing products every month. This capability supports effective communication of complex information across all stakeholders. Join the presentation to learn about the many use cases and empowering capabilities this technology can support in your business.

The presentation will run about an hour with a 1/2-hour Q&A period afterward.
