Meguti Jain Temple is an example of an early development of a Dravidian style of Architecture. The temple houses a statue of Lord Mahavira, the 24th Jain Tirthankara. One of the oldest temples in Aihole, this place provides a beautiful panoramic view of the entire Aihole city. The first floor of the temple is accessible with some difficulty but, the view is worth the effort. The temple rests on the Meguti hill giving it the name and it can be accessed by a flight of stone steps.
