The 2nd annual Virtual Reality Day takes place on November 17th, 2018 and VRVienna and International Virtual Reality Professionals Association (IVRPA) will be working together to make this event memorable.
Even though VR Day is officially on November 17th, the Vienna event will take place on Monday, November 19th. VRVienna holds regular VR meetups and each one has a different theme. The last meetup centered around gaming in VR. This month will be focused on filmmaking in VR with the theme, “Think Outside the Frame.”
VRVienna has put together an amazing event with speakers, a panel, and an experience corner. Each of the talks will focus on a different aspect of producing a VR film. From theater to feature films. From traditional filmmaking to location-based entertainment. From art to business. From fact to fiction.
Here’s the line-up:
- Sebastian Brauneis & Stefanie Schmitt (Kunst Uni Wien & Uni Wien) — Dramaturgy and Directing in VR
- Axel Dietrich & Martin Stegmayer (vrisch) — Location-Based Entertainment VR
- Sebastian Endler (Amilux film) — Making Cinematic VR
- Virgil Widrich & Martin Reinhart (tx-reverse) — Transforming time and space in cinema and VR
The IVRPA are proud to partner up with VRVienna for this amazing event which is being graciously hosted by Vienna’s Filmakademie (Anton-von-Webern-Platz 1, 1030 Wien, Bauteil G) and will begin at 18:30 (GMT+1).
